NEW LUXURY MARINA PROJECT IN MARBELLA GETS GREEN LIGHT
New Luxury Marina Project In Marbella Gets Green Light
Magnificent new marina project in Marbella gets the green light and with planning permission now granted, work is expected to start imminently with completion due in 2015.
We refer to the project from the Qatari Sheikh to build upon and expand the fishing port of the "Bajadilla" in Marbella. What stands out in this project is its originality with a semicircular jetty and the ultra modern architecture of the Arab Emirates.
The expansion of the port will bring an investment of 84 million Euros, plus an additional seven million Euros for a commercial area, however the contractor has stated the total investment will be around 400 million Euros.
Also projected is the construction of another major commercial area and a 20,000 square meter five star hotel with 200 rooms, based on the same quality and standards as the Ritz.
Along with 858 berths for yachts, a dry dock for 360 yachts and the two berths for mega yachts of up to 125 meters in length, the jewel is the dock for tourist cruise liners of up to 175 meters in length and with around 500 passengers to anchor in Marbella.
The new marina is being billed as the most important urban development on the coast in recent years and will catapult Marbella back into the spotlight, below you can see a video showing the scale and grandeur of the project:
It is now being widely reported that the Spanish property market is finally leveling out and both viewings and sales have already increased. The market will obviously take time to fully recover, but with many properties available at nearly half their original value, it's now a true buyers market and a great time to pick up a genuine bargain in Southern Spain.
