Gibraltar
Gibraltar is famous Worldwide for its dramatic rock. It is located in a strategic position at the Southern end of the Iberian Peninsula. It overlooks the Straits of Gibraltar and is linked to Spain by a narrow strip of land used as the Airport runway.

Gibraltar is imposing but small. It measures less than six kilometres in total. It is inhabited by around 30,000 people made up of Gibraltarians, British and Spanish. There is also a colony of the famous apes, the only ones in Europe to run free in semi-wild state.

Gibraltar is a British self-governing colony with its own British Forces stationed there. There are many ways to move about the Rock, taxi, bus or walking, there are so many things to do and see in such a small space, don't expect to finish - no matter how long you stay!

The Island has a fascinating Military history and still is an important strategic site for observation. There are many popular tours of the Rock for anyone interested in this.

Gibraltar has 3 Marinas that are well equipped for both the sea faring visitor and the land visitor, just wishing to sit in one of the many bars or restaurants soaking up the sun, surrounded by boats.

Queensway Quay
This Marina is the main port and is a British naval base. It is, however, also used for commercial and recreational purposes. It is noted for its peace and tranquillity in spite of being right in town. It is also a popular place to have a meal, as there are a variety of restaurants and bars.

Marina Bay
This Marina is located at the Northern side of the rock but faces West and offers approximately 200 modern berths. A variety of businesses are located in this Marina including a Supermarket and numerous restaurants offering a wide variety of local, Spanish and International cuisine.

Sheppard's Marina
Sheppard's Marina is located directly opposite Marina Bay and also looks out over the airport runway (which is built over the water), offering berths for 150 yachts.
